Who run the world? French Olympic figure skater Mae-Berenice Meite, who on Sunday in Pyeongchang performed her short program to Beyonce’s anthem “Run The World( Girls ), ” and a embrace of “Halo.”

Though Meite’s performance came in ninth place, it revelled onlookers for its appreciation of fun.

Cosmopolitan caught up with Meite post performance to ask her a little bit about her music selection.

“[ Her music] is crazy, wild, and fun, ” she said, with a giggle. “You can just dance to it, and that’s how I am.”

As The New York Times reports, this is the first time we’re learning Olympic figure skating performances set to chants with lyrics. The International Skating Union made the change back in 2014, apparently to keep younger viewers interested.

Fast forward to 2018 where figure skaters are reaching the ice to the likes of Ed Sheeran.

But Beyonce? That’s an artist choice we can get behind. Olympic silver medalist Ashley Wagner agrees.
